On this page you will find all the documents we send to our authors during the acquisitions process. This ranges from our manuscript submission guidelines to our marketing questionnaires. If you are a current author, the forms you need should be available below. If you are interested in submitting a manuscript for review, you should begin by reading the manuscript submission guidelines and sending a proposal to our acquisitions team.

Submission Guidelines

The University of Cincinnati Press publishes interdisciplinary scholarly monographs and theory-to-practice books that concern issues of social justice. These publications can be short-form or long-form books, print or electronic, and we welcome authors seeking to publish in open access formats.

Author Questionnaire

The author questionnaire allows us to gather important information about your contacts, plans for your manuscript, and how best to place your scholarship in contemporary discourse. Most importantly, this information is brought to our Faculty Advisory Board as part of the review process for manuscript, and it is used to help guide our peer-review process. Digital Content Exploration Form

If your manuscript is going to make use of enhanced digital elements like video or online annotations, then you will need to fill out our digital content exploration form. This form is a wish list for enhanced publications that helps us better organize efforts for designing and funding your project. Click the button on the right to fill out the form.

Permissions Log

The permission log should be used to track permissions for all charts, data sets, images, etc. that will be used in the final manuscript.
