Thinking About Ohio is a series of digital and print books highlighting Ohio’s history, heritage, and contributions to the nation. Books mix scholarly, expert, and underrepresented voices with primary source material, oral histories, firsthand accounts, data, simulations, and video content to create the definitive peer-reviewed, accessibility-friendly resource for general readers on Ohio.
Each book in the series will include:
- 200 page attractive paperback design, generous illustrations
- Interactive engagement with primary source, archival, cultural, and scientific content
- Authors selected from scholars and experts in Ohio who will unpack stories using engaging narratives, pertinent research, and inclusive perspectives
- Peer review for accuracy, inclusivity, rigor, and interdisciplinary connections
- Educator guide created by learning specialists to help teachers create unique learning opportunities into their K-16 STEAM classes.
Series Themes
Ohio’s population is booming with many towns, cities, school districts and colleges among the most desirable in the nation. Overall job growth by 2030 is projected to exceed a quarter of a million. New corporate partners will bring new people to Ohio and create new opportunities and relationships for current residents, some here for many generations already.
